What is it?

Give Where You Live NKY is for individuals who want to support our local community. It can feel challenging to make a meaningful impact, but as a group we can grow our communities in ways we never thought possible.

Who should join?

  • You can’t find time in your busy life to volunteer but want to make a difference

  • You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a Northern Kentucky nonprofit and want to learn about new organizations

  • You want to be part of a group that makes an immediate, direct, and positive impact

  • You want the opportunity to present your local nonprofit of choice to a group of like-minded and caring people

How does it work?

All members place the name of their nonprofit of choice in a hat at each meeting, with the hopes of being one of three drawn to present their chosen nonprofit. Each of the three members has five minutes to present why their nonprofit should receive the group’s vote. We listen, we vote, we each write a check for $100- all in under an hour! All organizations up for consideration must have a footprint in Northern Kentucky, and must be a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. The goal is to keep it local and have an impact that we can SEE in our own backyard!

Why this model?

The nonprofit receives this donation without spending a minute of their time or a nickel of their money fundraising. If we reach our goal of 100+ individual Charter Members, we can provide $10,000 to a nonprofit at each meeting. That’s $40,000 each year at only four events.
